Terms & Conditions

Creating the perfect cake often requires a sprinkle of creativity, a spoonful of love, and a whole lot of time. To make sure this process is smooth for you and Oh That Be Good, please take a few minutes to read through Oh That Be Good’s terms and conditions for all orders. Further information can be provided on request. Once you’ve had a read you’re all set to place your order! A piece of cake - right?

THE FIRST STEP

ORDERING

  • To ensure the creation of an edible memory that you can enjoy, all orders must be placed via email at least three weeks (21 days) prior to the date required. This gives Oh That Be Good sufficient time to work on curating the cake for your occasion.  

  • Rush orders placed within 7 days of collection/delivery will incur a ‘Rush Order Fee’ of $30.

  • Order forms, briefs and questions where provided must be filled in as accurately and in much detail as possible to process orders more efficiently.

  • Cake Brief: after you provide Oh That Be Good with the required details, a ‘Cake Brief’ outlining the plan for the design and flavour will be shared with you to ensure we’re on the right track.

  • Feedback: You will have one opportunity to provide one round of feedback per brief. Based on this feedback you will receive the final quote for design and flavour.

  • Quoting: A limit of one quote will be provided to all customers after the design and flavours have been finalised. Any further amendments to the cake brief quoted will incur an additional fee of $5 per amendment. This will be applied to the finalised quote.

  • Upon confirmation you will be emailed a copy of your invoice.  Please ensure all contact details, personal information, spelling of names, delivery/collection dates and times and any requested changes have been properly documented on your invoice.

  • If the date of the order changes please advise Oh That Be Good immediately via email.

  • Oh That Be Good reserves the right to use products from preferred suppliers for the creation of your order.

 

MINIMUM QUANTITIES & TASTINGS

  • Minimum cake order is for 10 people.

  • Minimum cupcake order is 12, with a limit of one cupcake flavour and one buttercream flavour. Cupcake orders will only be accommodated in increments of a dozen (e.g. for an event with 25 guests you can order 24 or 36 cupcakes).

  • Tastings are not offered for any orders except weddings. Wedding tastings will incur an additional fee, you will be advised of the fees upon calculation at the time of ordering.

 

SECURING THE BOOKING

 

DEPOSIT & FINAL PAYMENT

  • Let’s face it, finding ‘the one’ is not easy - especially when cake is involved. If you choose Oh That Be Good for your celebration, a non-refundable 50% deposit will be required to confirm your order.

  • To confirm and secure an order within 3 weeks (21 days) of the date of collection/delivery, full payment is required upon receipt of invoice.

  • Celebration Cakes - the remaining 50% of the payment must be made no later than 7 days before collection/delivery. If you are unable to make the final payment, you will not receive the final product.

  • Wedding Cakes - like your wedding day, these special cakes require some extra planning and care. The remaining 50% of the payment must be made no later than 30 Days before the date of collection/delivery. If a payment is not received, the order will be considered cancelled.

  • Rush Orders - full payment along with the ‘Rush Order Fee’ of $30 will be expected for rush orders placed within 7 days of collection/delivery.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Oh That Be Good understands that sometimes life happens and plans may change. So please note the following cancellation policy. As I plan your cakes with care, order ingredients and schedule my time in advance; any cancellations after the periods specified below will not be entitled to a refund.

  • Cancellation by Customer: Deposits are non-refundable. For celebration cake payments made in full, 50% of your payment is refundable up to 21 days prior to the date of collection/delivery. For wedding cakes paid in full, 50% of your payment is fully refundable up to 30 days prior to the date of collection/delivery.

  • Cancellation by Oh That Be Good: you will be given as much notice as possible in the event of exceptional circumstances, such as serious illness or family emergencies that would prevent Oh That Be Good from fulfilling an order. All efforts will be made to find someone else who can produce your order and a refund will be provided for any payments already made.

HOW TO PAY

Payment can be made by credit card or a bank-transfer to the bank account provided on invoices.

COLLECTION & DELIVERY

All orders must be collected unless delivery has been agreed upon. Delivery charges apply and you will be advised of the fees upon calculation at the time of ordering. Simply enquire with Oh That Be Good when you place the order and we can talk through costing, availability and location.

Once your order is placed, we will work together to curate a cake that will have you saying ‘Oh That Be Good!’.

FOOD AND ALLERGY DISCLAIMER

Oh That Be Good is NOT an allergy-free kitchen:

  • Oh That Be Good recognises the seriousness of food allergies. You are required to inform Oh That Be Good of any ingredients or types of food that may cause allergic reactions and any food restrictions (e.g. halal, kosher) when placing your order.

  • Oh That Be Good is not an allergy-free kitchen. All efforts are made to minimise this risk where requested. It cannot be guaranteed that products are free from ingredients that may affect those with food allergies.

  • Oh That Be Good will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to products. The following ingredients are used in the kitchen: milk and other dairy products; eggs, nuts, wheat and gluten.

 

LIABILITY

Oh That Be Good is not liable for:

  • Damages to the cakes, cupcakes, and any other products once it has been handed over to the customer upon collection/delivery. The cake must be stored at the correct temperature and in the box supplied, out of the sun and away from damp conditions or heat.

  • Guest injury or harm caused by eating non-edible accessories that should have been removed prior to eating (dowels, non-edible flowers, flower wires, toothpicks, cake toppers etc.). Please be advised that non-edible fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants. Oh That Be Good cannot be held liable for any reactions caused.

  • Change of mind by customer upon collection/delivery or mistakes made by the customer at time of ordering i.e. incorrect / misspelled names or incorrect choice of cake.

  • Customer complaints once the cake has been accepted, this includes design, colour etc.

  • If you are unsatisfied with your order you must advise Oh That Be Good upon collection/delivery. Where possible, Oh That Be Good will attempt to resolve the issue. If a satisfactory solution to the problem cannot be found, Oh That Be Good will refund up-to 50% of the order cost, not including delivery, rush order fees or any additional charges incurred. The refund percentage will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Complaints in respect to not liking the taste of products will not be accepted.

SERVING SIZES
  • Upon ordering, you must advise Oh That Be Good on how many people you want to cater for. When defining serving size, Oh That Be Good will follow the sizing generally used in Australia - Dessert Slice (2” x 1” x Cake Height) and Coffee Slice (1” x 1” x Cake Height).

  • Please note that the amount of cake needed is an estimation and not guaranteed to be exact.

  • Oh That Be Good is not responsible if a cake shortage occurs if cake pieces are cut larger than the recommended serving size.

COVID-19 PANDEMIC POLICY AS AT JUNE 2020

 

In the event of the following events, we will adhere to the action plan outlined below to tackle the known risk of COVID-19:

  • a lockdown caused by an outbreak of COVID-19;

  • tightening of restrictions, limiting gatherings;

  • cancellation of an event to prevent community transmission of COVID-19 by an affected individual (with proof supplied).

 

CANCELLATIONS WITHIN 48 HOURS

Your cake will have been baked and decorated within this period. It will be delivered to you as the services paid for are rendered. No credits or refunds can be accommodated.

 

ALL OTHER CANCELLATIONS

  • Deposit payments

    • The non-refundable 50% deposit will be put towards the new date of your event. If a new date is yet to be determined, the funds paid will be held as a credit until confirmed.

    • In the event Oh That Be Good is unable to accomodate the new date, the funds paid will be offered as a credit for use on any products and services of Oh That Be Good for one year. The credit can be used across multiple transactions throughout this period. This offer once accepted cannot be receded for an alternative option.

    • Any change of date does not restart the deposit and cancellation periods afresh.

 

  • Payments made in full

    • Your payment will be put towards the new date of your event. If a new date is yet to be determined, the funds paid will be held as a credit until confirmed. Any change of date does not restart the deposit and cancellation periods afresh. This credit can be put towards any products and services of Oh That Be Good. 

    • In the event Oh That Be Good is unable to accomodate the new date, you will be entitled to a 50% refund. The remaining 50% which served as a deposit is non-refundable. 

    • Bookings within the standard cancellation period (21 days prior to collection/delivery for celebration cakes and 30 days prior to collection/delivery for wedding cakes) will be covered by the T&Cs outlined in the 'Deposit payments' section above. ​

POP-UP SHOP CONDITIONS

 

DELIVERIES IN SYDNEY

  • Please ensure the recipient will be present to accept the delivery on the specified date. 

  • Recipient unreachable - we will wait for 10 minutes and call the payee and recipient for instructions. If contact can’t be made, the order may be left at the address (if it is safe to do so) or returned to Oh That Be Good. We cannot wait more than 10 minutes at a delivery address.  

  • Failed delivery attempts - if unable to deliver the paying customer will be notified via email and a call or text. The recipient may collect their goods at an agreed time from Oh That Be Good HQ within 24 hours.

  • Re-delivery is not offered. 

  • No refunds will be issued if the recipient fails to be present at the time of delivery. 

 

IN THE POST

  • All care is taken with the shipping and packaging of your order. All products are wrapped in tissue and bubble wrap before placing it inside the delivery box. We are unable to take responsibility for breakage during transit. Please be aware that it is possible for slight breakage to occur during transportation. 

  • We use Australia Post to ship all of our products. Please expect your order to arrive within 1–3 business days for most major cities. We encourage you to check whether your postcode falls within the Express Post National Network and confirm you are happy with the time frames before ordering.

  • Please note:

    • Unable to deliver - if unsuccessful, a card will be left by Australia Post with details on pick-up arrangements. Biscuits will stay fresh for upto a week in their packaging. 

    • A tracking number will be provided to you via email notification. The order can be tracked through Australia Post’s website: https://auspost.com.au/mypost/track/#/search

    • Orders cannot be shipped to P.O boxes. 

WORKSHOP BOOKING CONDITIONS

MOBILE CAKE DECORATING WORKSHOP |IN GOOD COMPANY - CELEBRATIONS

  • Securing Booking: Full payment for the minimum number of participants (8 people) is required as the deposit to secure your booking. Payment for the remaining participants must be made no later than 30 days before the event.

  • Finalising Participants: Oh That Be Good understands that coordinating crowds for events isn't easy. However, to make sure that all your guests are accommodated, full payment for any additional participants must be completed no later than 30 days before the event. Requests to add participants within 30 days of the event booking will be considered on a case by case basis. 

  • Transfer of Reservation: If you are unable to attend a reserved workshop, you are welcome to send someone else in your place. Please email Oh That Be Good with the details of the new attendee.

CAKE DECORATING WORKSHOP|IN GOOD COMPANY - TIME FOR TEA

  • Securing Booking: Your booking is confirmed on receipt of full payment and if a seat is available. Full payment is expected within 7 days of making a booking.

  • Minimum Numbers: This workshop requires a minimum number of participants to proceed. You will be informed of the status of the workshop by phone or email a week before the scheduled date. 

  • Transfer of Reservation: If you are unable to attend a reserved workshop, you are welcome to send someone else in your place. Please email Oh That Be Good with the details of the new attendee along with their dietary requirements at least 3 days before the workshop date.

  • Dietary Requirements: Please inform Oh That Be Good of any dietary requirements whilst making a booking. All reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate your needs to the best of my abilities.

 

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Whether baking cakes, growing the right flowers or ensuring decorations are shipped on time, we pre-plan to make sure you get the very best for your workshop. As there are many people who will be impacted by your booking, the following cancellation policy will be strictly observed.

  • Cancellation by Customer: 

    • Mobile Decorating Workshop - If a booking is cancelled up to 30 days before the scheduled workshop date, only 50% of any payments made will be refunded back to the customer. Cancellations within 30 days of the date of the workshop are non-refundable.

    • Cake Decoration Workshop Time For Tea - If a booking is cancelled up to 14 days before the scheduled workshop date, only 50% of any payments made will be refunded back to the customer. Cancellations within 14 days of the date of the workshop are non-refundable. You are entitled to a transfer of the workshop to another attendee as outlined in the individual workshop terms above.

  • Cancellation by Oh That Be Good:  Oh That Be Good reserves the right to alter or cancel a workshop. You will be given as much notice as possible in the event of exceptional circumstances, such as such as insufficient sale of tickets, serious illness or family emergencies that would prevent Oh That Be Good from fulfilling your booking. If a workshop is cancelled or moved to a date and/or time you are unavailable, you are entitled to a full refund for any payments already made.​

  • Value of Refund: All credit card payments made to Oh That Be Good incur a transaction fee by the service provider. Where a refund is being made, you are entitled to a refund of the value of the ticket, less this transaction fee, as this charge cannot be recovered by Oh That Be Good.

 

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
  • All creatives have their own style and flair which provide inspiration. Oh That Be Good does not do exact replications of other cake makers work. All designs will be curated to meet your expectations without infringing on intellectual property rights.

  • Photos are taken of every order, and may be used on Oh That Be Good social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook and Website. Oh That Be Good reserves the right to use any photographs without compensation to you. 

  • Any photos provided by you will be shared with your explicit permission.

  • All photos of Oh That Be Good’s work must be credited on all social media platforms.
